sick on the homefront!

I have been fighting a cold all weekend, and it is a loosing battle at this point. I am predicting an 8 pm bedtime tonight. When you are under the weather, what better to do than sit on your booty and create. I didn't want to over exert myself, of course. I dug into this months scrapbook circle kit. I love how these kits always challenge me to use product that I wouldn't buy myself, with three girls, I tend to buy a lot of pink products to work with!

Nearly 2 years ago, we got orders from Maryland all the way to Southern California. No way were we going to make that long trip without making some great stops along the way. One of the places we made sure to get to was the Grand Canyon. Now let me start off by saying that I have an extreme fear of heights, even getting high on the ladder can cause my heart to start racing, so this was a big deal for me. It was a gorgeous sight that I will never forget, but I would be lying if I didn't tell you that I will always equally remember the way I lost my breath with fear seeing how low the bottom was. A bit overwhelming ,for sure, but the memories made it worth it. When I finished this layout, and shared with the family, as I always do, My oldest; little L, announced, " I remember this, it was the best day EVER! "I suppose that makes it to have been worth it all!
